Leadership Roles within the Building

I have been very lucky to work with assistant principals and a principal that are always willing to let me help with administration duties. This is opening up my eyes to all that the APs do in our building. As I work with them, I get more and more excited about my potential job in the future. I am excited to work with teachers and help them develop into better teachers, and I am excited to work with students in a different capacity. One thing I have noticed is that sometimes your to do list doesn't get touched until the teachers leave at the end of the day. We have a wonderful open door policy, and I know use it a lot, but I am sure this can get to be too much for our APs at time. I appreciate all the experience I am getting, but I know at time it can be too much to balance. I tell my assistant principal often that her hard work doesn't go unnoticed.
