Leadership Presence in the classrooms

As a leader, one of the main parts of my platform is to be in the classroom seeing students learning and developing a relationship with the students that is positive and understanding. Another huge part of my leadership platform is developing a relationship with teachers where I am in classrooms and observing frequently so I have a good picture of things the teacher does well in their classroom. When it comes to evaluating teachers, I am a true believer that an administrator needs more than 2 30 minutes lessons to evaluate the teachers. It is more than what they can "turn on and turn off" when I am in the classroom. I want to see a true picture of who the students are and how the teacher interacts with them.

I feel like as a leader in a building, it is hard to be an instructional leader with all the other tasks a leader needs to complete throughout the day. I hope to be able to really dive into the instructional tasks, and save the other things for the end of the day or something to do after the teachers leave. I know my viewpoint might change on this once I get into that position, but I feel like my calling is to be in the classroom seeing great learning happen and being an instructional leader in my building.
